We talked with Shadow Producer Jason (Unoriginal Vinyl) about the Colorado industrial band Rackets & Drapes as well as gothic metal band Saviour Machine. Jason gets personal and shares his story and how these bands fit into it. Conversation starts at 3:08. Wow. I feel like this episode was made specifically just for me. I was a sheltered goth kid in Illinois who had no idea what actual goth music was much less what Manson sounded like. These bands were like a breath of fresh air to my angsty, repressed self. Like i would litterally play baby killer on the youth group sound system and get away with it. It’s interesting to look back now at the cringe edgelord stuff as a trans person myself who’s now an atheist and goth music podcaster. Thanks!
